You couldnt get a better location - everything you need is on your doorstep. Great transport links run 24/7, pretty much every shop a person could need, and youre spoilt for choice with bars and restaurants. Theres a great balance between green spaces where I walk my dog and built up areas like Southside shopping centre where I have splurged on a Cineworld Unlimited card. Since moving in, the area has just been getting better and better.
To me, this building and this flat is the definition of thoughtful design with a great balance between personality and functionality. The functionality of great storage, immaculate communal areas, and a well-designed layout alongside the personality of a 23rd floor roof terrace with impeccable views of London, unique riverside entrance walkway, and beautiful internal and external design.
One of my favourite things in the flat is the floor to ceiling windows that give great East and South facing light throughout the day. One of the reasons I bought the flat was the view of the River Wandle from the living room. It's so peaceful to sit and enjoy, especially when the leaves fall from the trees outside. Often you will also see the local Heron taking a bath from the window, a pretty rare site for London zone 2!
In terms of running costs, the flat is really affordable to run and I haven't turned on the heating at all the last year as it is so well insulated. The building has also just been updated, now with high speed fibre broadband, a real blessing whilst working from home.
Its with a heavy heart that Im putting my flat up for sale as Im looking to move to a new area with my family. I truly have loved my time living in this flat and I hope to find a new owner who will love it too.
